A new story for you to read! I’m going to use this blog post as a place for interested people to leave comments. I’ll watch this and answer them as best as I can. I always feel a little weird talking to people about my writing, I think mainly because I’m a little shy about it.
This one is the first I wrote entirely with Twee. I’m kind of curious if it seems different from the ones that came before because of it. The means you use to write affect how you write probably more than most writers would like to admit. I like doing first drafts with mechanical pencil in a spiral notebook — well, not quite first drafts. I write stuff out longhand until I get impatient with myself, and then start typing it out.
Anyway, I found the little boxes TiddlyWiki gives you to work with a little confining. You can change their height with a little CSS magic, but it still didn’t feel right. Twee lets me type stuff out like a normal story.
I started off writing the story about names. Almost kind of a philosophical take on it. But when I did the final editing on it last night, I’m not sure that’s really what it’s about. Hmm.
